colloquium : Neutron opportunities at the precision frontier of particle physics

by Mike Snow (Indiana University)

Description
We don't know where new physics will appear, but it is very clear that our present theories of matter and forces are quite incomplete. As cosmology becomes more quantitative, more ideas for where to search come from this direction. I will describe how this shifting perspective is influencing experimental research using slow neutrons and give some examples of recent and ongoing work
