Top-quark mass measurement from diphoton mass spectrum

Description

In this talk, I explain our recent study on the ttbar bound-state effects in the diphoton mass spectrum at hadron colliders. Based on the one-loop calculation and non-relativistic QCD, we formulate the gg\to\gamma\gamma amplitude with ttbar bound-state effects near their mass threshold, and predict a characteristic structure in the diphoton mass spectrum. Thanks to the simple and clean nature of the observable, its experimental measurement can be a superior method to determine the top-quark mass at hadron colliders.
