Description
The talk will be slit into two parts, first a more formal and then a phenomenological one.
Computing gauge invariant scattering amplitudes is not trivial when one or more legs are off the mass-shell. I will review the progress on the topic made in recent year in the Cracow group, which has led to an efficient all-leg analytical and numerical solution of the tree level problem in massless QCD and is presently heading for loop corrections.
I will review the application of the results of part 1 to jet physics phenomenology at the Large Hadron Collider, focusing on the search for Double Parton Scattering effects in the inclusive 4-jet final state and the ongoing extension of the pure tree level approach with parton showers.
