Description
I will review the motivations (both top-down and bottom-up) and theory behind Dirac gaugino masses, and describe how their phenomenology can now be tackled using precision tools, and include an overview of the popular implementations in phenomenological models. This class of theories has been described as "super soft" and "super safe" and is now viewed as an attractive extension of the minimal supersymmetric scenario. NB: this is an informal blackboard discussion during our usual Tuesday theory meeting.
