Description
Dr. Stephanie BEAUCERON (SPP-Saclay) Abstract: The Higgs boson has a central place in the Standard Model and its discovery would allow further insights in the electroweak symmetry breaking mechanism. The hints seen at LEP and the electroweak fit predictions favor a relatively light Standard Model Higgs and the upper limit set by LEP underlines the importance of Higgs search at the Tevatron as part of the RunII physics program of the CDF and D\O\ experiments. For Higgs bosons with masses below 140 GeV, the main production channel is WH, with H-->bbbar with Wbbar being the main background. For Higgs masses higher than 140 GeV, the Higgs is produced directly, with H-->WW*. The main background of this channel is the direct production of WW. We report on the most recent higgs searches done by the DO collaboration in these channels using RunII Tevatron proton-antiproton collisions at 1.96 TeV. This searches used around 170 pb-1 and no Higgs signal has been observed. Limits on Standard Model Higgs has been established. Note: le seminaire aura lieu en francais
