Abstract:
In September 2004 the CERN SPSC reviewed the options for a fixed target physics programme at the laboratoty with a short, an intermediate and a long term horizon.
The present programme, extensions to it, and new options were considered in the context of contemporary opportunities which exist and may exist. All these aspects, together with the outcome expressed as a set of conclusions by the committee, will be presented.
