Description
I plan to discuss in a series of (informal) 'lectures' the necessary ingredients of supersymmetric extensions of the standard model and their technical implementations in SUSY-spectrum calculation codes.
Lecture 2:
-Basics of renormalization group (RG) techniques;
-The RGE within the MSSM: linking grand unification scale with electroweak scale;
-Electroweak symmetry breaking issues in MSSM;
-Technical implementation in SUSY-spectrum codes (example of 'SuSpect')
-Some concrete applications of SUSY-RGE codes: constraining SUSY model parameter space, 'top-down' versus 'bottom-up' reconstruction of parameters, etc. (this last topic may become a 3rd lecture on Wed...)
