DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Federica Petricca (MPI\, Munich\, DE)\n\nUnravelling
the nature of dark matter is a primary frontier of contemporary particle
astrophysics. The CRESST experiment\, located deep underground at the Labo
ratori Nazionali del Gran Sasso\, aims to directly detect dark matter part
icles via elastic scattering off nuclei in cryogenic scintillating crystal
 s. By achieving unprecedented nuclear recoil thresholds below 10 eV\, CRES
ST offers world-leading sensitivity to the sub-GeV mass regime. This semin
ar will review the operational principles of the CRESST low-threshold cryo
genic detectors\, present recent constraints on low-mass dark matter\, and
outline future perspectives for the experiment.\n\nhttps://lpsc-indico.in
