Description
After a short review on the main production mechanisms of the Higgs
boson at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC), I will consider the
production of a Higgs boson with mass M ~ 120-140 GeV in association with
two jets and a central photon, for the Higgs boson decaying into a
b-b(bar) pair. I will show that, compared to the Higgs production via
vector-boson fusion, the request of a further photon with large transverse
momentum dramatically enhances the signal/background ratio. Hence, a
determination of the cross section for the associated production of a
Higgs boson, decaying into a b-b(bar) pair, plus a central photon in
vector-boson fusion could help in measuring the b-b(bar)-Higgs coupling,
and the W-W-Higgs coupling as well.
