Description
10h00 -- Petit Dej De BIDUL 10h30 -- Jose Gomez Quiñones Design of a CMOS AC Generator Array for Stimulation of Dielectrophoretic/Microfluidic Microdevices Abstract: Abstract—Biomedical microsystems (BioMEMS) integrate bio-sensors, microfluidics, electro-mechanical elements, micro-optics, communication, processing and control systems, applied to biological and biomedical sciences. In the near future, BioMEMS could represent a revolution in almost all areas of medicine and biology. In medicine, one of the most critical areas is clinical diagnostics, the bio-molecular recognition can provide a high cost-effective approach to achieve quality diagnosis of the human condition. In order to perform a bio-molecular evaluation an isolation process must be carried out. One of the most promising separation techniques is Dielectrophoresis (DEP). A cell under dielectrophoretic force can be trapped, moved, levitated and circulated depending on the excitation characteristics. The design, implementation and testing of a micro-device capable to offer separate node DEP stimulation is proposed. This array stimulator is aimed to help in the separation of at least 16 multiple cells/particles with high-efficiency.
