Description
Charged Higgs bosons are predicted by various theories beyond the
Standard Model, where the Higgs sector consists of more than only
one doublet of scalar fields. Direct experimental searches for
charged Higgs bosons at LEP and at the Tevatron have already
excluded a certain range of parameters. Search strategies for
charged Higgs bosons in the ATLAS experiment will be presented,
in particular for the early data-taking period with a 7 TeV LHC
centre-of-mass energy, but also for heavy charged Higgs bosons
with a 14 TeV LHC operation. Prospects for charged Higgs boson
discovery, or for an accurate measurement of its properties, at
future e+e- linear colliders such as CLIC will also be discussed.
