Description
Diffuse gamma-rays can be a powerful tool in constraining dark matter properties. In this presentation, I will report on recent progress in setting the limits on the smooth dark matter component of the *Milky Way halo* using two years of Fermi-LAT whole sky data. I will also discuss the expected improvements on the limits on *cosmological* dark matter annihilation, with the up-coming determination of the second year extragalactic background flux.
