AMS-02 was successfully installed on the international space station during May 2011 and it has been taking data since. AMS-02 is devoted to precise measurements of Galactic cosmic rays of energy ranging from 100 MV to a few TV of magnetic rigidity. After collecting and analysing more than 25 billion events, the AMS-02 collaboration published its first results on hight precision measurement of the positron fraction between 0.5 to 350 GeV. This talk will present the detector operation and performance in space, the methods used to identify cosmic-ray positron and the measured positron fraction.
