The topics of these lectures is to introduce and explain the search for dark matter candidates at the LHC, including a more general discussion about the use of EFTs in BSM searches, in the context of the Run II data taking. Three lectures of 1h30 each will be given by Tim Tait (University of California, Irvine, link to his CV); after each session, at least thirty minutes are open for questions and exchanges. The target audience is composed of advanced staff physicists, PhD students and post-docs from the particle and astroparticle communities.
