Dr Bernd A. KNIEHL (Institut für Theoretische Physik, Universität Hamburg) We review recent progress in the theoretical description of the inclusive production of heavy-flavored hadrons and heavy quarkonia at next-to-leading order in perturbative QCD. The agreement with experimental data from various colliders is assessed.
