"Probing dark matter with stellar-stream density fluctuations in the LSST era"

Presentation in english

Abstract:

Galaxies reside within dark-matter halos that could host numerous low-mass, starless subhalos at 10^6-10^9M_\odot, whose properties provide a test of dark-matter models.
Stellar streams act as indirect tracers, as subhalo interactions induce measurable density fluctuations.
Survey systematics can mimic these signals and bias the interpretation.
We present a statistical study using mock streams quantifying the impact of LSST systematics on fluctuation detectability and dark-matter sensitivity.
