Description
Future precision measurements of the large-scale structure of the universe call for a robust and fast method to compute theoretical predictions. The scales where baryon acoustic oscillations are observed fall into the weakly nonlinear regime, potentially amenable to cosmological perturbation theory. Recently, a number of methods that are well-known in the context of quantum field theory have been applied to improve predictions quantitatively, as well as to sharpen the qualitative understanding of relevant scales and mechanisms. We discuss some recent progress in these respects, as well as open issues.
