Grenoble is in the eastern part of the Auvergne Rhone-Alps region, in southeastern France, in the Isère department. As such, it sits at the crossroads of northern and southern Europe.

The town is surrounded by 3 mountain ranges, creating an exceptional setting
The Chartreuse, Vercors, and Belledonne mountains.

There are direct connection between Paris and Grenoble by TGV (3 hours travel), between Lyon and Grenoble (1h00 by TER or shuttle from the airport). You can find more information on the web site of the national train company (SNCF).

Participants are expected to find their own accomodation. Grenoble has a large offer of accommodations, from hotels to touristic apartments. The conference center is located close to the train station and the city center (see item "Venue" on the l.h.s. menu).
