Description
In colour dipole models, the small-x gluon structure in transverse coordinate space can be described by a so-called thickness function. In unsaturated models this has a straighforward interpretation as the thickness of the proton, while in saturated models it is directly related to the saturation scale. In the hotspot model, this thickness at small magnitudes of the Mandelstam-t variable, is lumpy and concentrated into three hotspots. We propose a model in which these hotspot evolve with the resolution scale taken to be t. By introducing one extra parameter we are able to describe the entire measured t-spectrum for $1<|t|<25$ GeV$^2$. I will extrapolate the result to heavy ions which for which the t-spectrum can be measured at the future Electron-Ion Collider.
